Watch: Obama Levels With Republicans, Red State Crowd Goes Wild

Shortly after his wildly popular State of the Union address, Pres. Obama took his populist plan to rebuild the middle class straight to the Republican red state of Idaho — and wait until you see how the crowd reacted to it.

As it turns out, even red state voters are tired of their own party putting politics over people and obstructing the hard-fought economic progress that we have achieved.

After chiding Republicans for refusing to present their ideas to fix America’s pressing issues, Pres. Obama wrapped it up all with, “Whoever we are — whether we are Republican, or Democrat, or independent, or young or old, or black, white, gay, straight — we all share a common vision for our future. We want a better country for your generation, and for your kids’ generation. And I want this country to be one that shows the world what we still know to be true — that we are not just a collection of red states and blue states; we are still the United States of America. That’s what we’re fighting for. That’s what we’re pushing for.”

Instead of boos and jeers, he was met with roaring applause and cheers.
