In this video, middle-class champion and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren introduces her bill to refinance student loans and scolds Republicans for blocking previous versions and then “doing nothing”– while finding plenty of time to sneak tax loopholes for billionaires into the budget.

Over forty million Americans have their futures and opportunities encumbered by the weight of debt, and the Republican response has been to propose cuts to Pell Grants and block common sense legislation like that proposed by Sen. Warren.

Senator Warren is right. Why in the world do Republicans continue to do everything in their power to make sure that American graduates are forced to suffer under the crushing burden of student debt?
