Watch: Obama Unloads On Republican Obstructionists, 'This Has Gone Too Far!'

In this video, President Obama angrily rips the Republican-controlled Senate for continually refusing to confirm the superbly qualified Loretta Lynch as US Attorney General. The Senate has created a standoff with the government, unwilling to vote on the confirmation until the Democrats remove a filibuster on a sex-trafficking bill, a bill which the Republicans snuck entirely unrelated anti-abortion clauses.

It’s another case of typical Republican scheming and brinkmanship politics, and the President has had it:“Nobody can describe a reason for it beyond political gamesmanship in the Senate on an issue that’s completely unrelated to her…This is the top law enforcement job in the country!

Visibly angered, he then really hits it home: “What are we doing here? And I have to say there are times where the dysfunction in the Senate just goes too far. This is an example of it. It’s gone too far. Enough. Enough. Call Loretta Lynch for a vote, get her confirmed, let her do her job. This is embarrassing.”

Ms. Lynch has been awaiting confirmation for 160 days, a record in all of America’s political history. It truly is embarrassing to the Republicans, even with control of both houses of Congress, are still resorting to this petty, juvenile obstructionism.
