GOP In Chaos As Trump Supporters Sign Petition To Remove Megyn Kelly From Debates

Presidential candidate and America’s biggest loudmouth, Donald Trump, is causing quite an uproar in the GOP. Since Trump announced his bid for the White House, the leaders of the party have been banging their heads against the wall as they try to figure out a way to stop him from completely obliterating their already poor chances of winning the presidential race in 2016. On Thursday night, liberals sat on the edge of their seats waiting for Trump to cause chaos within the Republican party once again and we were not disappointed. During the debate the real estate mogul was forced to answer tough questions about his sexism and misogyny by Fox News’ golden girl Megyn Kelly. Her legitimate questions caused Trump to cry that he was being “treated unfairly,” on Friday, insult the debate moderator again and now 17,000 Trump fans are calling for her removal in an online petition.

During the debate Kelly asked Trump about how he has called women “slobs,” “fat pigs” and a host of other names. Trump tried to claim that the only person he has said these things about is Rosie O’Donnell, but Megyn Kelly called him a liar:

Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women’s looks,” she continued. “you once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge when Hillary Clinton, who is likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part on {sic} the War on Women?”

Trump responded by saying that Kelly hasn’t treated him very nicely and saying that he doesn’t believe in “political correctness.” On Friday, during an interview with CNN he implied that Kelly must have been on her period when she made the comments. The GOP establishment went crazy. Erik Erickson, the leader of RedState, disinvited him to an event he was holding on Saturday where Trump was supposed to be the keynote speaker. Other Republicans, including Jeb Bush, spoke out against Trump’s remarks; but not everyone is on Ms. Kelly’s side.

A Change.org petition with 17,000 supporters has been started and is calling for Megyn Kelly’s removal from any future debates. It states:

Megyn Kelly finds the state of our union amusing and “fun”, whereas the viewers (our fellow citizens) deserve a much more serious moderator.

In addition, she had a clear agenda to attack Donald Trump, by tenaciously clinging to his past rather than his vision for the future. She focused on Trump personally, rather than politically. Ultimately, she did not live up to the “fair and balanced” slogan at Fox News and News Corporation.

While her disdain for Mr. Trump was evident, this petition is a call for truly fair and balanced coverage of ALL candidates. Thus, Megyn Kelly should be barred from hosting or moderating all future Republican Presidential Debates.

The irony of this petition is that the person who created it thinks that Fox News is “fair and balanced.” They are complaining that Trump was forced to answer for his past when he is running for President of the United States.

Fox News is definitely not “fair and balanced.” Time and again it is proven that they are the least honest source of news. They lie constantly and their lies have awarded them the least informed audience in the history of cable news. Sure, the debate moderators were going after Trump, but that was likely the plan the entire time.

The leaders of the Republican Party are not allowed to go after Trump, because they will be accused of rigging the primaries. So, they have figured out a more underhanded way to push him out while keeping their hands clean. The Koch brothers have declared war on him and are blackballing him. Fox News went after him in the debate and the other candidates are attacking him whenever they can. But no matter what happens, he shakes it off and gains in popularity. The Trump debacle is turning into a bigger problem than the 2012 Tea Party rebellion.

The GOP cannot afford to have Trump as their spokesperson, as he is right now. Not because they don’t agree with him, because they do. The problem with Trump is that he is saying everything that they want to say, but are too afraid to for fear of alienating the voters they need to win. Romney’s 47 percent comments did the same thing in 2012 and they don’t want a repeat. They loathe Trump because he is literally pulling their masks off and showing the world what a racist, xenophobic, misogynistic establishment the GOP really is. It’s great for us…for now.
